Ongahi on the Coromandel Peninsula of the North Island is a rustic, relaxed and unspoiled area of New Zealand and is renowned for its brilliant beaches and rugged coastline. The native Pohutukawa trees cling to the rugged coastline and make a magnificent sight over the hot summer months when the trees are covered in spectacular bright crimson red flowers.
